Terri Zimmerman March is a community health expert with the Buncombe County Health Center who works with community partners to prevent and reduce chronic disease through policy and environmental change. She received a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Western Carolina University and a Master of Public Health in Health Education from the University of North Carolina. She has given presentations and workshops throughout the community on a variety of topics including decreasing obesity, youth obesity, providing safe routes to schools, pedestrian and biking transportation, grant writing, facilitation, and community health assessments. In addition to the ADC Board of Directors, March currently serves on the City of Asheville Bike and Pedestrian Task Force, the City of Asheville Parks and Greenways Foundation Board, and the Buncombe County and Asheville City Schools Health Advisory Council, where she was Co-Chair 2003-2007.
