Project Overview

After completing a successful playground project in the Klondyke Community in 2012, ADC is at it again. This time we’re working with the Pisgah View community in West Asheville–our design process kicked off in September. ADC is thrilled to have many of our Klondyke partners with us again, as well as some new supporters that are making this project possible.
We couldn’t do this project without our volunteer designers from Site Design Studio (Julie & Jason Gilliland) and Mathews Architecture (Chip Howell). The Housing Authority of the City of Asheville is once again supporting our effort, allowing us to partner with Green Opportunities to train and hire residents to construct the playground.
We also are extremely grateful to have local playground providers contributing equipment and their expertise to the effort: Kevin Houk of Playworld Preferred and Evelyn Anderson of Asheville Playgrounds.

It is inspiring to see so many facets of our community come together to help build a new playspace for the children of Pisgah View Apartments. If you’d like to support the effort, please consider making a donation to ADC.
