Project Overview

This summer, our group of ten college students was challenged to design, procure materials, and install a 40′ X 18′ pedestrian footbridge. This bridge represents the first piece of infrastructure for the future Wilma Dykeman greenway project along the French Broad River. Our site is in the River Arts District, under the Haywood Bridge at 30 Riverside Drive.

In ten weeks, our team assembled the bridge on site and now we look forward to its installation as soon as we receive the necessary approvals.
